Cognitive Sovereignty Checklist for Chief Technology Officers

When you use GitHub Copilot or Claude for architecture decisions, you risk becoming a validator of AI output rather than an architect. Your engineering teams will follow your example. If you cannot explain why a system was built a certain way without reading the AI's explanation first, you have lost cognitive sovereignty over your own strategy.

Tool names in this checklist are examples. If you use different software, the same principle applies. Check what is relevant to your workflow, mark what is not applicable, and ignore the rest.

Protect Your Architectsural Judgement

Write down your architecture decision before asking AI for inputbeginner
