Cognitive Sovereignty Self-Audit for Management Consultants
This audit measures whether your consulting work still relies on independent analysis or has shifted to presenting AI-generated summaries to clients. Your score reveals how much rigorous thinking you retain versus how much you delegate to language models.
Before you ask AI a research question, write down what you already think the answer is. This forces you to think independently first and stops AI from becoming your first thought.
Read one full research report per week without any AI assistance. This maintains the skill of spotting what is actually in source material versus what an AI summary claims is there.
When a junior consultant delivers an AI-generated output, ask them to explain it as if they wrote it themselves. If they cannot, it was not their work yet and should not go to the client.
Keep a separate folder of insights that came from your own reading, not from client projects. This becomes your proprietary thinking and the foundation for the provocative ideas clients actually pay for.
Every quarter, audit one finished client deliverable and trace each major claim back to its source. If more than half the claims come from a single AI summary, your independence is slipping.
