When an AI tool recommends something that reduces cost or time, ask what it optimised for and what it ignored. The answer tells you whether it understands your brand strategy.
Document every decision where a human expert disagreed with or overrode the AI system. That record is your insurance policy and your guide for improving the tool.
Require that any safety-critical decision made by AI in your Siemens, Azure, or similar systems be reviewed and signed off by a human expert before it affects production or customer safety.
Test your AI tools against past recalls and known defects from your products. If the tool would have missed them, fix the tool before you trust it with new products.
